Lance Rigby is an award winning artist from Harstine Island in Washington state. Lance began carving with chisels as a young boy. It was something he just dabbled in over the years along with drawing, painting, and other art forms. His main creative outlet and passion for over 25 years was playing his saxophone in which He holds a B.A. in music performance. He is also currently playing bagpipes with the Olympia Highlanders.
He left a successful cleaning business behind to pursue a life long dream of being a full time artist. He discovered the fulfillment of this dream with a chainsaw. Starting in March of 2004 his abilities progressed quickly and by June that same year he dropped his cleaning business and began chainsaw carving full-time supporting his wife and two girls. He gives credit to his heavenly Father for his ability, inspiration and divine timing and is becoming increasingly versatile in his craft. Thank you for visiting our site.
